Course Details and Assessment Methods
This course is designed to provide the user with the details for carrying out Nail Fungal treatments using a Qswitched Nd: YAG “Tattoo Removal” laser. To suggest a safe treatment protocol including the use of test patches and to discuss the current treatment of Nail Fungus and the theory behind the laser treatment.
Note: Neodymium Aluminium Garnet Laser is the medical name for ND: Yag
Prerequisite Requirements
Learners must hold the following prior to attendance:
A Regulated Anatomy & Physiology Level 3 certificate
Level 4 Laser & Light Core of Knowledge (or equivalent recognised certification)
Existing training in Laser Tattoo Removal (Level 5) is advantageous
Insured to treat nail conditions
Assessment Methods
Multiple Choice Questions, Test Patch Demonstrations, Observations during live model sessions, Discussions and oral questions.
The duration of this course is 8 hours. (1 full day)
