Qualification Purpose – The aim of this qualification is to provide the learners with the key knowledge and understanding of human anatomy and physiology required for a range of roles across the health, beauty and fitness sectors.
Age ranges – Entry is at the discretion of the training centre, however learners should be aged 16 to undertake this qualification.
Entry requirements – There are no set other entry requirements, but additional criteria may be requested.

Assessment methods – This qualification is internally assessed and each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.
Main pieces of evidence for the portfolio should include some or all of the following:
-Assessor observation
-Witness testimony
-Learner product
-Worksheets
-Assignments/projects/reports
-Record of oral and written questioning
-Learner and peer reports
-Recognition of prior learning

This unit is aimed at those working in a wide range of settings. It covers the knowledge and understanding of the
