Entry Requirements
This qualification Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Tattoo Removal (RQF) is for learners to develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety practices. They will also develop the knowledge and understanding of providing a full consultation and providing tattoo removal treatments. Learners must hold a minimum of a level 3 beauty therapy qualification, Level 3 Award in Understanding Human Anatomy and Physiology or occupational competence in Tattooing. Each learner is required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates the achievement of all the learning outcomes and the assessment criteria associated with each unit. To successfully achieve the Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Tattoo Removal (RQF) Learners must complete a total of 46 credits. 31 credits from the mandatory units and 15 credits from optional units.The mandatory units are Advanced Skin Science, Aesthetic Practice Core Knowledge, provide investigative consultation and advanced skin assessment and the optional units are Laser tattoo removal, Non-laser tattoo removal.
Learners must hold a minimum of a level 3 beauty therapy qualification, Level 3 Award in Understanding Human Anatomy and Physiology or occupational competence in Tattooing. Students should be aged 16 or above to undertake this course. This qualification has been accredited for use in England and Northern Ireland.
Assessment Methods
This qualification is internally assessed. Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include some or all ofthe following:

- Record of oral and written questioning
